What was the inspiration for your line
I think what inspires me more is being able to create an art of fashion with no rules.

Where did you get the name for the line and the meaning
I wanted to bring something unique and different to the fashion world. I came up with like twenty different names, but none of them sounded hot. I remember reading this article about Jon and Kate plus 8 on a blog and someone commented on the story saying the whole family seemed Dysfunctional. I was like that’s it, that’s the name for my company, so I changed the spelling to from DYSFUNCTIONAL to DISPHUNKTIONAL.

What does Disphunktional mean
My meaning for Disphunktional is:
-A unique person
-A person that is happy with the way God made him or her
-A person that doesn’t allow others to define them, but knows who they are as a human

How did youget started
I came up with a name, made sure my tax id and business part was taking care of. I took a business class, and a couple of fashion classes just to learn the basic about running my company. From there I started drawing and had a couple of designers help me come up with ideas for my line.

What were you doing before the line
Before I started Disphunktional LLC I was doing hair and working on a hair and fashion magazine called Bump N curl. I was also attending nursing school to become an M.A (Medical Assistant)

We promote our company on numerous sites such as:

We also make ads for the line and share them with different companies around the word. Just so everyone can see what Disphunktional is all about.

Have you provided pieces to any talents/artist if so who
I’ve only provided clothing for one of my brother’s artist “Yung Mental”, but I would love for artist all over the world to rock Disphunktional Clothing. I would also like to see Teyanna Taylor in my line, because I know for a fact she would rock it.

What pieces do you have in the collection
Disphunktional Collection has so many different pieces, I’m going to name only a few because I could keep going for days (laughs) You will find out that each Disphunktional item has a unique name such as:
-Crazy lady hoody
-Disphunktional broken skate bored
-Scribble shirt
-Disphunktional Block words
-Music Skulls ETC.

What are the future plans for the lime
My future plans for Disphunktional is to see my line all over the world and on everyone’s back. I would also like to donate Disphunktional clothing to those that don’t have anything to wear.

What events / appearances (music videos, artist show or photo shoot…etc) are coming up for the line
Disphunktional Clothing will be featured in a fashion show on the 20th of January 2011. I will have the information for everyone soon!

What direction do you want your line to go in
The direction of Disphunktional? I would definitely like to see my line in stores all over the world, but I have my heart set on opening as many Disphunktional stores as I can.

Besides the line what other things do you have your hands in
Disphunktional LLC has various things coming out; however I’m only allowed to talk about. The clothing line and also the magazine. That’s right we are launching our very own Disphunktional Magazine. This awesome magazine will be launching sometime next year in 2011, so keep your eyes open.

Disphunktional presents the Dynamic Fashion show

Sunday, June 6, 2010 Disphunktional LLC Presented a show called The Dynamic fashion show.. This was the biggest show of the year and if you missed it welll... You missed it.. lol

The fashion Show was held at The Standard, Downtown LA...

The venue was set up amazing, they had food, drinks and gift bags filled with amazing gifts for our gueast. We also had a Dj spinning at the event, a host from 93.5 KDAY...

The owner of Disphunktional LLC also allowed a clothing line by the name of Costy Clothing to be a part of this fashion show. They opened the show showing about six Different fashion pieces from their clothing line.

Costy Clothing was created by four young men who group up together. They came up with a Slogan which is Creating Our Success Through You and took the first letter from each word and that how they came up with COSTY.
